We are currently working with a number of firms in the dyes, drugs and
pesticides intermediates area to explore the potential of pollution
prevention and waste exchange concepts for improving productivity
simultaneously with environmental performance. Two fairly generalizable
questions have emerged:

- how can process innovations be replicated / diffused?
- do existing environmental regulatory structures hinder or promote such
efforts?
