redistribution due to climate change

distributions and results from experiments on individual plants
indicate that climate change is expected to alter significantly
the functioning and distribution of major vegetation types.
However, there is a significant disagreement in magnitude, directions
and characteristics of these changes. Using a probabilistic
approach we evaluate ecological risks of possible changes in
the potential vegetation distribution over North America under
different climate change scenarios. Currently we are exploring
different approaches to characterization and visualization of
uncertainty in the vegetation responses.
